Participation of Reform Institute in public consultation on revision of the National Recovery Plan (NRP)

In mid-March 2024, the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy presented proposed amendments to the Polish National Recovery Plan (NRP). Reform Institute took part in a public consultation and a public hearing, presenting recommendations for revisions to the updated NRP.

The amendments included both modifications to the timetable of planned activities and substantial reforms and investments, including, for example, the abandonment of the introduction of a levy on the ownership of emission vehicles (the so-called exhaust tax) or the provision of additional funds for agricultural modernisation and clean energy in buildings.

On 27 March, the Reform Institute co-organised, together with the Polish Green Network, a workshop meeting for NGOs. During the workshop, experts identified four key issues in the proposed changes and discussed them with workshop participants.

On 8 April, Reform Institute analysts Aleksander Śniegocki and Wojciech Augustowski took part in a public hearing.

We also submitted comments and recommendations for changes to the updated NRP in a public consultation process that ran until 15 April. Please see the comments submitted by the Reform Institute in the attachment below.
